HOW TO PERMANENTLY DELETE YOUR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT

My very warm greetings to the fellow readers and bloggers. Hope you all are liking the posts on the blog. Please do leave your feedbacks, request or anything which you wish to see on this blog as your opinion really matters.

If feel that facebook has lost that feel and gist and if you are not going to use your account in  the future, here are some easy steps which you need to follow in order to permanently delete your account.

      1. If you think there could be some information  such as photos, videos or contact information that you may need in the future, do save it before deleting your account as you will then lose all access to it.

       2. To do so login to your account from http://www.facebook.com.  After this, click the gear icon on the top right hand corner of the page and go into account settings.

       3.Now click download a copy of your facebook data. To download individual pictures, click the download link on the bottom when you open them.

      4.When you are done with that, if you wish to delete all your previous activities  on facebook such as likes, comments, shares etc. you can do this  by clicking the privacy button on top right corner and den select who can see my stuff?

 

      5. Now to delete your account permanently follow the link -https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account . This page cannot be accessed through facebook unless you search for it separately. Click delete my account to start the account deletion process.

     6. After you to so, in a new pop-up screen you would be prompted to enter your password and CAPTCHA. After entering these press okay to delete your account. Please do think so before doing this as after this you would not be able to access your account in the future. You will have to wait 14 days for the deletion process to be completed.

 

My opinion to all the readers that would be doing so in the future, I would suggest first try deactivating your account; by deactivating your account you do not lose access to it and it can be simply re- accessed by logging in back. If then  you feel that it is of no use, then go for the permanent deletion.

You can deactivate your account by-

1. Clicking on the gear icon and selecting account setting.

2.Select security from the top left corner of the screen

3. Select Deactivate your account. Fill out the form that appears next to deactivate your account and click confirm, AND VOILA!!! YOU ARE DONE!!!
